Child Support
In Mississippi, the child support award is set depending on the number of children involved. For one child it is 14% of adjusted gross income, 20% of adjusted gross income for two children, 22% for three children and so forth.
Adjusted gross income is determined by paycheck stubs and tax returns. It is the "take home" pay in some case but it is determined by statue and does not include voluntary withholding from pay.
